The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has celebrated his 100 days in Office. The milestone event, was held at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja on Tuesdays and was attended by clergy, stakeholders, and staff members
At the event, his achievements which includes; Flag off of the screening exercise in some states, new corperate direction for the commission, the successful completion of the bid process for the 2024 pilgrimage exercise to Israel and Jordan, as well as the upcoming commencement of the 2024 Easter pilgrimage exercise next month, were highlighted.
A statement signed by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director Media and Public Relations, disclosed that, the Bishop expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the opportunity to serve and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their support.
He also commended the management and staff of the Commission for their cooperation, stating that their collective efforts have been instrumental in achieving significant milestones during his first 100 days in office.
The highlights of the event included the official unveiling of the NCPC’s new corporate slogan, “NCPC… Service and Satisfaction,” and the launch of a special edition of the Commission’s in-house publication, The Nigerian Pilgrim Magazine.
Goodwill messages from stakeholders, friends of the Commission, and staff were also read during the event.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite was appointed by the President on January 4, 2024, and assumed office on February 5, 2024.
