DAJOH SETS UP COMMITTEE TO DRAW AGENDA FOR THE 10TH ASSEMBLY

The Speaker, Benue state House of Assembly, Honorable Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh has inaugurated a five-man committee to formulate a policy document that will provide direction to the 10th Benue State House of Assembly.

The committee which comprises of Technocrats and seasoned academics has been given the mandate to look at the policy document of His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia “a strategic Development for a Greater Benue” and draw up a guide for synergy between the executive and the legislative arm of government that would accelerate development in the state.
Inaugurating the committee, the Speaker expressed confidence in the calibre of people selected to form the committee, noting that they would not fail in the assignment.
The five-man committee has Professor Patrick Ukase, Head of Department, History & International Relations, Prince Audu Abubakar University, Anyigba as Chairman, Dr. Jerome Andohol, of the Department of Economics, Benue State University, member, Dr. Daniel Mailumo, Principal Lecturer, Alfred Akawe Torkula polytechnic Makurdi, member, Barrister Torseer Elias Yina, Chief of Staff to the Speaker as Member and Mr Francis Adole, Deputy Director, Benue State House of Assembly, Makurdi as Member/Secretary.
In their separate remarks, the committee members accepted the responsibility given them by the Speaker with clearly spelt terms of reference.
The committee members appreciated the Speaker for finding them worthy of such a sensitive task and promised to present a draft document to the Speaker within two weeks for further discussion.
The meeting also had the Member representing Mbagwa state Constituency from Ushongo local government, Honorable Saater Tiseer, Dr. Inienger and the Senior special Assistant to the speaker on special Duties, Mr Terver Adom in attendance.
