Rep. Marcus Onobun (PDP-Edo) has tasked youths yearning for leadership positions to predicate their drive towards nation-building and selfless service that will better the Nigerian society.
Onobun made the call while receiving a delegation of the City Boy Movement at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
The lawmaker who represents Esan West/Esan Central/Egueben Federal Constituency of Edo stressed the need for continuous mentorship amongst youths seeking leadership positions.
He identified lack of mentorship and training as key factor mitigating many upcoming leaders from actualising their goals.
“Part of my contribution to the nation will be tailored towards strengthening and building the capacity of young people at every given opportunity,” he said.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Hassan Sadiq congratulated the lawmaker on his victory at the poll and the successful swearing in of the 10th Assembly.
He said that members of movement are opened to mentorship and assured the movement’s unalloyed allegiance in building a better society and prosperous Nigeria.
