SGF assures of progressive economic development under Tinubu

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF) Sen. George Akume has assured of progressive economic development under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Akume gave the assurance on Friday at the National Solemn Assembly, a 3-hour worship and thanksgiving session convened by the Director of Legal and Public Affairs, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Mrs Comfort Chigbue in Abuja.
He said that Nigeria is a gifted country with rich natural and human resources saying that all that was needed a visionary leader to lead which is Hos what that is what God has done for us.
According to him, with the Renewed Hope Agenda, Tinubu is set to replicate the giant economic strides recorded in Lagos state during his time as governor of the state.
The SGF, however, said that leaders in the country needed the support and prayers of all Nigerians saying that unless the Lord builds a house, the labourers labour in vain.
“We have a fine an extra ordinary man, put in place by Nigerians, he is needs our prayers to succeed.
“In recognition of this, you are here to give thanks to God to do supplication to God so that our leader will continue with the good work he has started to implement as President since resumption of office.
“When you look at the Renewed Hope Agenda, you will have hope for this country, hope of a better tomorrow,” he said.
The SGF tasked media practitioner to report only what unites the country as there are many as against the little that disunite the country.
“Nigeria will continue to exist by your prayers, we will continue to be the envy of the world continue with your prayers for our country and our leadership,” he said.
On his part, Gov. Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo urged leaders at all levels to be closer to God and prioritise holiness and righteousness.
Represented by his wife, Mrs Olufunke Makinde, the governor said that good leadership can only be attained by drawing nearer to God.
“The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people. Therefore, as leaders of Nigeria, it was drawn nearer to God and worship him because God is the author of good governance and governance rests on his shoulder.
“When we honor God, He will help us to conduct the affairs of our nation in the right direction; let us continue to toe the path of righteousness, which is the path of greatness for the Bible. makes it clear in Proverbs 14 Verse 34, the righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach, let us live a life of prayer, praise and thanksgiving,” he said.
Addressing newsmen, the convener of the assembly urged all Nigerians to have hope in the country saying that the best days are now on the way.
Chigbue urged Nigerians in diaspora to return home, have hope in the country, bring their expertise support the development of Nigeria.
“You can see the the whole Nigeria was represented here, you can see the joy you can hear the sound and the essence of gathering apart from the other high points that were carried here was to thank God, bless Him and worshiping Him for everything for Nigeria and for Nigerians all over the world.
“We are excellent, we should have hope in our country, we should come home, we should be resilient and believe in God, that this country is great.
“The only thing we can give to God is to praise Him who has given us virtually everything without us paying anything, we prayed and we live our lives by the grace of God,” she said.
Chigbue said that the assembly will be convened in all geo political zones of the country to raise altars of praise and workshop for Nigeria
