SAJSOBA Convention:Benue Gov calls for joint effort in fixing Benue

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia Tuesday, July 25, 2023 attended the 2023 National Convention/Mega Reunion of St. James Minor Seminary Old Boys’ Association (SAJSOBA).
The event which took place at the school premises along Yandev-Makurdi road also featured dedication of the School Chapel by the Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Most Rev. William Avenya.
The Governor congratulated the Old Boys of the school and saluted the sense of reasoning that brings them together annually to interact with one another and also harness ideas for the development of their alma mater.
While inviting Benue people across party lines to join hands with him to fix the state, Governor Alia cautioned against hate speech and statements that are inflammatory, saying people should learn to be just and investigative on what they say and write on social media.
To his brother priests, Governor Alia said they must not only be instrument of peace, but of justice and of progress.
Also speaking, the Rector of the school, Rev Fr. Dominic Asor thanked the Old students for their support for the development of the school.
He said the new chapel is significant because it marks the fulfilment of the wish of Late Bishop Atule Usuh for a befitting place of worship be built for the school, and also a mile stone of the 10th Episcopal anniversary of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Gboko, Most Rev. Dr. William Avenya,
The 2023 Convention was also attended by the Secretary to the Government of Benue State (SSG), Prof. Joseph Alakali, Head of Service of Benue State, Moses Agbogbo Ode, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Rt. Hon.Paul Biam, as well as
Priests, and Religious amongst others
