Alia swears in key officials, calls for conscientious services

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia Thursday, June 01, 2023 sworn in three key officials of his administration.
The swearing in was done at the Old Banquet Hall of Government House, Makurdi at 11:26 am.
Those sworn in were Prof. Joseph Alakali as Secretary to the Benue State Government (SSG), Dr. Moses Agbogbo Ode as Head of Service, and Rt. Hon. Paul Shinyô Biam as Chief of Staff.
The Governor congratulated them, saying it is due to their performance, trust, loyalty, humility, amongst other credible qualities that have earned them inclusion to serve the state in their respective positions.
He said they have been invested with trust and oath and what they must give out is conscientious service, in line with which they need people of sound character, hard work and total commitment, hence the choice of the people he could personally vouch for their capabilities, patriotism and dedication to duty.
Fr. Alia, on behalf of the government and good people of Benue State, congratulated them and welcome them on board.
While calling on the newly sworn in officials to be exemplary in their public and private life, the Governor reiterated the resolve of his administration to banish backwardness from taking a centre stage in the new government.
He finally called on all Benue people across party divides to join them in developing the state.
