President Muhammadu Buhari bestows National Honour on Hon Mike Msuaan

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) will confer the revered national honor of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) on the President, Tiv Youth Council Worldwide, Hon. Mike Msuaan.
Nigerian National Honours are a set of orders and decorations conferred upon Nigerians and friends of Nigeria every year. The National Honours are the highest honours or awards that a citizen can receive from his or her country for service to the country for their outstanding contribution to national development as well as any human field of endeavor.
Established by the National Honours Act CAP N43 of the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004. The act empowers the President to establish by Warrant the Nigeria Order dignity to honour deserving citizens
According to president Buhari, the criteria for selecting Nigerians for this honors award include
“consistent and meaningful participation in community and/or national development; rendering unsolicited, selfless and philanthropic services to humanity; outstanding sacrifice in the defence of a cause popularly adjudged to be positive, relevant and beneficial to the nation and community.’’
With this national honor, Hon. Mike Msuaan joins the list of very eminent and distinguished Nigerians honored by the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This recognition is no mean feat, especially coming from a president Buhari, known for his integrity.
Hon Msuaan is No. 21 on the list of those to be conferred with the national honor of Member of the Order of the Niger published in today’s Nation Newspaper
