The Benue State Governor-Elect Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has bid farewell to Later Mrs Catherine Nomhwange, at Mbalom in Gwer-East local government area of Benue State.
Fr. Alia, while making a speech at the funeral, described Late Catherine Nguzan Nomhwange as a peace loving woman who was quite outstanding in making enormous contribution to the project that brought him on board as the Governor-Elect of Benue State.
This is contained in a statement by Isaac Uzaan ,Media Aide to the Benue Governor-Elect on Friday.
He said late Mrs Nomhwange made giant strides in developing the society, especially in the aspect of education and humanitarian assistance to the ill-fortunate people around her.
He enjoined the people to emulate her lifestyle by being ambassadors of peace in their respective communities and also cultivate the habit of striving always to reach out the needy in the society.
Fr. Alia also prayed God to console the Nomhwange family and grant their late mother a befitting place of rest in heaven.
Also in attendance was the Deputy Governor-Elect of Benue State, Hon. Barr Sam Ode, the honourable Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Sen. Dr. George Akume, amongst others.
