Alia tasks Kunav people on Peace,Unity

The Benue State Governor-Elect, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia Wednesday, April 12, 2023 said campaigns and elections are over, now it’s time for governance.
Fr. Alia stated this in Makurdi when he received the National body of Kunav United Development Association led by its President General, … who visited to congratulate him and celebrate his victory at the recent gubernatorial election in Benue State.
He tasked the people on unity which he said has a more significant impact than individual actions.
The Governor-Elect said, two Kunav sons, himself and Rt. Hon. Titus Uba were in the race and now that he has emerged the winner, no one, for whatever reason, should speak negative and express resentment towards Uba or any person from his camp

Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.,the Governor Elect added that, now it’s time for governance and that he was obligated to remain open and run an all inclusive government for the good of the people of Benue State.
Fr. Alia thanked his people for visiting him, emphasizing that as a bonafide KUDA, he would continue to wotk closely with them to drag home progress and development.
Earlier in their separate remarks, the President General of Kunav United Development Association, Michael A. Vaatia, Mrs Espei Ushe Uba advised Fr. Alia to be diligent and select a team that would help him succeed.
They said people’s expectations are very high as they are expecting Fr Alia to succeed and by special grace of God he will succeed.
The people said after Fr. AlIa’s inauguration, they will officially invite him to come home for celebration.
