Israeli advocates investment in history, archeological study to boost Nigeria’s revenue

Jericho,(Israel) Mr Anis Khamis, a Nazarene, has underscored the need for adequate investment in history and archeological studies to boost the knowledge sharing and promote meaningful growth.
Khamis, a tour guide of the 9th batch of the 2022 Christian Pilgrims to Jericho, in Jerusalem said on Monday that the call became important to encourage the teachings and income generation in any country.
Jericho was the first city conquered by Israel after crossing the Jordan River to occupy the promised land.
“Archaeology helps us to understand not only where and when people lived on the earth, but also how they have lived; Archaeologists examine change over time, seeking patterns and explanations.”
He added that Historians find that which archaeology provides both new information to complement the written record and provide new questions about our past.
He urged Nigerians to ensure their children read history and archeology, to be able to work in any part of the world and contribute meaningfully to development process.
“We have churches, schools and lots of places you can teach and make money, protect or help nations find great potential and help host countries grow its tourism site faster.
He suggested historical and archaeological libraries should be upgraded to ensure records where safe, saying even, with advent of ICT it was necessary to preserve records that where in hard copies, for future reference.
The highpoint of the the pilgrimage tour was visit to the Month of Temptation, where the devil tempted Jesus Christ after His fasting on the mountain.
Also was the visit to Qumran, a place famous for hiding place of the dead sea scrolls as colonies of the Old Testament, also literally treasure trove hidden since shortly after the time of Christ.
Dead Sea is one of the most unusual waterbody loaded with minerals that no fish lives in, it is found in the lowest dry land on earth with no outlet.
