March 18 Elections: Alia,others sign peace accord, PDP ,LP abscond

The APC governorship candidate, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia commits to maintaining peace and order before, during and after Saturday March 18, Governorship and Houses of Assembly elections in Benue State.
In a statement by Mr Isaac Uzaan,Media Aide to Fr Alia, said the event which took place today at the Precious Event Centre, Makurdi was put together by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Others who committed to this peace agreement include, Prof. Bem Angwe of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Mrs. Ada Change of the Action Democratic party (ADC) and Engr. Levi Lumun Icheen of the People’s Redemption party (PRP).
Prominent among those who were conspicuously absent at the event are Rt. Hon. Titus Uba of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Rt. Hon. Herman Iorwase Hembe of the Labour Party (LP).
