350 BAUCHI STATE YOUTHS GRADUATE FROM AGRIBUSINESS TRAINING IN NASARAWA STATE
Abuja, Nigeria – 1 November 2025
Over 350 young people from Bauchi State have successfully graduated from the 2025 Innovative and Integrated Agricultural Value Chains Agribusiness Training held at CSS Global Integrated Farms, Gora, Nasarawa State. The two-week intensive programme was designed to equip the participants with modern farming skills and knowledge to drive positive transformation in Nigeria’s agribusiness sector.
Representing the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Iliyas Aliyu-Gital, commended the Chairman of CSS Global Integrated Farms, Professor John Kennedy Opara, and his team for delivering a high-quality training programme that will empower Bauchi youth to make meaningful contributions to agribusiness development.
“The training is designed to provide young people with opportunities to learn from experienced leaders through training and mentorship programmes in modern agriculture,” the Governor stated. “I charge you to embrace farming and view agriculture as a major profession capable of reducing poverty, raising incomes, improving food security, and boosting productivity.”
In his lecture titled “The Power of Vision,” Professor Opara underscored the importance of discovering one’s purpose and pursuing a clear vision.
“Unless one understands what he is created to achieve, his time on earth will be useless,” he remarked. “There is no better way to prepare the youth—often referred to as the leaders of tomorrow—than by equipping them with knowledge.”
The participants received hands-on training in various areas, including grains production, poultry, fisheries, food processing, packaging, and branding. The overall aim of the programme was to empower young people with practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge essential for nation-building.
During the graduation ceremony, special awards were presented to the Chairman of CSS Integrated Farms and the Executive Governor of Bauchi State in recognition of their Excellent Leadership. Monetary rewards and gifts were also given to some outstanding graduates for their exceptional performance.
The participants expressed profound gratitude to the Bauchi State Government for organising the empowerment initiative and for its continuous support toward youth development.
