NCPC EXECUTIVE SECRETARY CHARGES STAFF ON ETHICS AND ACCOUNTABILITY AT 2025 STAFF TRAINING WORKSHOP

Abuja, Nigeria — October 30, 2025
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has urged staff to demonstrate renewed commitment to ethics, accountability, transparency, and professionalism as the Commission begins its 2025 Staff Training Workshop.
Declaring the workshop open at the Army Resort Centre, Mambilla Barracks, Asokoro, Abuja, Bishop Adegbite described the exercise as a crucial step toward strengthening administrative efficiency, improving staff capacity, and enhancing overall service delivery within the Commission.
He reminded staff that the NCPC corporate slogan, “Service and Satisfaction,” must be lived out through diligence, godliness, and dedication.
“If you are not responsible to yourself, you can never be responsible to the organization, because you cannot give what you do not have,” he stated.
The Bishop further stressed the need for teamwork in achieving corporate goals and cautioned against complacency or eye service. He called on all employees to be resourceful, pragmatic, and result-oriented in their duties.
Bishop Adegbite also commended the Lead Consultant of the training programme, Dr. Victor Ivoke, for his effective facilitation. He noted that Dr. Ivoke’s firm had successfully conducted a similar exercise for the Commission last year, to the satisfaction of the participants.
In his remarks, the Director of Administration, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, thanked the Executive Secretary for his continued confidence in staff development. He assured Bishop Adegbite of the staff’s commitment to advancing the Commission’s vision and expressed optimism that the training would further enhance efficiency.
The two-day workshop, which brings together staff from all departments of the Commission, features sessions on work ethics, effective communication, and accountability. It is designed to equip participants with the skills and mindset needed to achieve the Commission’s goals ahead of the 2025 Main Pilgrimage Exercise.
