….Pledges to lift team spirit
DIG Hashimu Argungu, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, has been installed the Grand patron of the PSC Sports Club.
The ceremony took place on Thursday 24th, October, at the office of the Chairman in Jabi, Abuja, and was conducted by the President of the Club, Mike Aji and assisted by the Members of his executive.
Aji briefed the Chairman on the success story of the team and presented to him medals won at the last games. He requested for Commission’s support to motivate the team for greater achievement in this year’s games holding in Portharcourt Rivers State.
A statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations, revealed, that the DIG Argungu flagged off the training programme for the PSC team, and pledged to lift their spirit, to enable them storm the games with greater determination to excel.
He charged them to go and conquer, stressing that the Commission will stand solidly with them and provide the necessary assistance required.
The Chairman was represented at the flag off ceremony by Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, Spokesman of the Commission, one time Chairman of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Edo state Chapter and later Deputy National Chairman of the Association.
