Maden Healthcare Foundation, by promoting ‘Menstrual Hygiene”, is helping, to break the stigma and barriers that keep girls and women from accessing education and opportunities.
Maden Healthcare Foundation (MHF), an NGO dedicated to menstrual hygiene, school health, and medical missions, plays a significant role in advancing the goals of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, which is celebrated every year on the 17th of October.
Through its three areas of focus, the foundation actively works to address inequalities and improve the well-being of underserved communities, contributing to the theme of this year; 2024 “Ending Social and Institutional Maltreatment: Acting Together for Just, Peaceful, and Inclusive Societies.”
This empowerment fosters equality, ensuring that girls, especially in rural areas, can participate fully in school and society without being held back by poor menstrual health conditions.
Through its ‘School Health Programs’, the foundation addresses the health disparities faced by children in underserved communities.
By providing health education, and screenings, Maden Healthcare Foundation ensures that students can stay healthy, attend school regularly, and build a better future for themselves, breaking the cycle of poverty through education and screenings; signposting the students to appropriate to healthcare providers.
The foundation’s Medical Missions bring vital healthcare services to rural and marginalized communities, where access to medical facilities is often limited. By delivering free and sometimes highly subsidised healthcare services, Maden Healthcare Foundation reduces health inequities and supports the well-being of vulnerable populations, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their social status or location, can receive the care they need.
Together, these initiatives reflect Maden Healthcare Foundation’s commitment to creating just, peaceful, and inclusive societies, in line with the goals of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
