……..laud media for active dissemination of the office’s activities
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has appreciated the President Bola Tinubu, for his support to her office especially as regards the ongoing reform
She stated this in a fora themed: “Meet and Greet,” with the members of the press, during which she thanked them for their support and reportage of the activities of her Office.
“I know that this office has always been supported by the media and I can attest to it, because I was also in this office from 2015, came back to the office in 2017-2019. So I know the forth estate of the realm has always supported this office.
“I thank you for the support you have given us especially on my announcement as the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, and that support has continued uptil date.
“We therefore thought it fit that we should organise this event, to put faces to the names and to meet with you one on one, to tighten and strengthen the bond that this office has with the media.
“This will not be the last, we will have other fora to interact with you.” The HCSF said
According to Walson-Jack, “You will recall that since we assumed Office, we have had several programmes and activities, and I sincerely appreciate you all for having supported our activities, our programmes and giving it the necessary publicity for proper dissemination to the citizens of Nigeria.
“We want to request that you collaborate more with us. We are asking, that the friendship and partnership goes beyond what it is now so that the reforms we are driving gets the full publicity required, as it requires all hands on deck.
“You will recall that the office has the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation 2021-2025 and that is the plan that we are still driving. However, we have resolved to bring on board creativity and innovation to accelerate that plan.
“And so the six pillars which represent the reform the ongoing reforms require adequate coverage so that the implementation can be fastracked. And so this and indeed the federal civil service delivers on the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate President Bola Tinubu for the support especially as regards the ongoing reform.
“We have quite a few things we are working on and in the fullness of time will let you in as the media, on what we have been able to achieve.
“But I must say what we are actually looking forward to is our 100 days in office. We are working on several things but I beg to share with you today, one initiative which we have brought, which is our Federal Civil Service Anthem.
“The anthem has been reintroduced to drive the reform. It is expected that the anthem will be sung by all civil and public servants and indeed Nigerians. And it will be an anthem that will encourage every public servant to imbibe the lyrics of the anthem which is just saying to us that we must be efficient, productive, incorruptible, and citizen centered.
“And so that epic culture is what we are hoping that the anthem will create and it will be something the civil servants will actually exemplify, that every civil servant will be efficient, productive, incorruptible, and citizen centered.
“I will like to thank you for attaining our maiden meet and greet cocktail with the media and look forward to having more interactions with you.
“One request I make is that you all will help us popularize this anthem so that every nook and cranny of Nigeria will play this anthem. We need to imbibe the words and we need to live it.”
