We need prayers more than ever before, as Rome was not built in a day- Bishop Adegbite
The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has addressed the plans for the next Public exercise of the Commission, as well as the issues currently faced by the country.
A statement signed by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director, Media and Public Relations, revealed that, Bishop Adegbite in a press conference disclosed plans of the Commission, to combine both Easter and May Pilgrimage, due to circumstances beyond control.
“The reason is very simple, people paid certain amounts, and the current price, cannot accommodate what they paid, and of course, people who already made payment will not want to pay again, so we are currently looking for support, and when that is done, operations will start. We believe and trust God, that it will be a success.
In addressing the matters of the intended protest, Bishop Adegbite said, “as Nigerians, we all have a right to protest, but we must also put in mind, fellows Nigerians who do not want to protest and will be affected by the protest, should incase, it turns into a riot, just like the endsars.
“We need prayers more than ever before, as Rome was not built in a day, and as we know, it is way easier to destroy, than it is to build.
“We are going to experience the glory, protection and goodness of God. May God continue to bless Nigeria and guide us towards a brighter future for us all.”
