
For the HoSF to take keen interest in the matters of skills acquisition speaks volumes of her sensitivity to the realities of the time- Prof. Bugaje
The National Board on Technical Education (NBTE), has honored, in recognition to the unwavering efforts to uplift not just the Civil Service but the nation as a whole, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan as “Mother of Skills”.
Dr. Yemi-Esan, during a courtesy visit received the honour from the Board’s Executive Secretary Prof. Bugaje, in Abuja.
The HoSF talked about the cordial relationship between the OHCSF and the NBTE and how it has resulted, to the two Board’s Institutions being certificate awarding institutions.
She assured that the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), which is a Parastatal of the Office, will integrate soon into its curriculum most of the Boards programmes to be in tune with the realities of time.
Dr.Yemi-Esan also promised that the work on the integration of the Board’s activities into the Scheme of Service is already near completion.
In a statement signed by M.A. Ahmed, Director Communications, it disclosed that Prof. Bugaje intimated that the efforts of the HoSF in uplifting the nation is worth celebrating. He said, for the HoSF to take keen interest in the matters of skills acquisition speaks volumes of her sensitivity to the realities of the time, especially in the country.
“And for this reason, the Board has decided to honour her with the title of ‘Mother of Skills”. He said.
He however expressed hopes that the unification of the different skilled employees through the Scheme of Service will be a great achievement for the Board and the Service as a whole.
The Executive Secretary further handed over the Manual of the Board and other important documents to the OHCSF via the HoSF.
