The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has called for a change in the approach, concept and mentality way of doing things in the Commission.
Bishop Adegbite stated that though challenges were met, he however assured that such challenges will be surmounted with the support and cooperation of the Management and staff as well as stakeholders.
Speaking on Wednesday, while playing host to the Chairman and executive members of the Christian Council of Nigeria, FCT chapter during a courtesy call on him at NCPC Corporate headquarters, Abuja, he said; “This is our year of Renewed Hope and satisfaction for the country, NCPC and the entire Christian Pilgrimage sub-sector.”
He averred that the Commission would leverage on the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President, by providing credible leadership at the NCPC and rendering satisfactory service to our pilgrims and at the same time, expect the best from our service providers.
The NCPC boss further stated that he has been part and parcel of the Christian Council of Nigeria for about 28 years, thus describing CCN as his first constituency.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Christian Council of Nigeria, FCT chapter, Rev Sabonyaro Mutuwa commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing one of them as the 4th substantive Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, which he described as a square peg, in a square hole.
According to him, “this appointment is not just a recognition of your outstanding qualities, but also a testament to your dedication and service to humanity and our nation,” he said, pledging his unwavering support to him and his new national assignment.
The Chairman further assured the NCPC Scribe that the Christian Council of Nigeria FCT chapter is poised and willing to extend a helping hand to ensure that he succeeds in his new role of superintending over Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria.
He also posited that they were confident that under his watch, the NCPC would continue its noble mission of taking christians to Pilgrimage, promoting peace, unity and religious harmony in our nation Nigeria.
