The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Mallam Jalal Arabi at Hajj House, Abuja on 28th December, 2023.
The NCPC Boss who was accompanied by some of his management team told his host that he was in his office to congratulate him on his well deserved appointment as the Acting Chairman/CEO of NAHCON by President Bola Tinubu. . Rev. Pam affirmed that it is not actually the beginning of anything that matters but the end. He said that during the tenure of the new NAHCON boss, the Commission would run smoothly and seamlessly stating that his pedigree puts him on a better stead to navigate effectively and efficiently through the waters of pilgrimage.
He further stated that with the good work he is expected to do at NAHCON, he would certainly be celebrated not just in Nigeria but globally .
The NCPC helmsman averred that pilgrimage is basically about Operations and as such it is usually not an easy task , nevertheless, he prayed that God would grant him success and breakthrough as he pilots the affairs of NAHCON.
In his remarks, the Acting Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Mallam Jalal Arabi said the visit of the NCPC boss was a big honour to him.
He admitted that pilgrimage is an operational process and it is a difficult terrain, especially the handling of the management of people and crowd that travel on pilgrimage.
However, he said that with the guidance of the NCPC boss whom he described as a “veteran on the space of pilgrimage”, he would have nothing to worry about.
Mallam Arabi maintained that he would work closely with the NCPC boss so that together they would be able to use their position to serve humanity.
He equally emphasized the need to compare notes from time to time in order to learn from each other and be able to impact positively on the overall objectives of the two sister Agencies.
The Executive Secretary of NCPC was accompanied on the visit by the Director of Operations, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, the Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary, Mr. Barnabas Ali, the Deputy Director and Head Planning, Research and Programme Development, Mr. Nkaiso Ndemenang, the Deputy Director and Head Media and Public Relations, Mr. Celestine Toruka as well as the Director of Protocol, Mrs. Charlene Makai.
