UNDP Executive Leadership Retreat guide to effective service delivery – Gov. Alia
By Bridget Ikyado
The Governor of Benue state, His Excellency Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia has described the ongoing Executive Leadership Retreat organised by the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) in collaboration with the Nigeria Governors’ Forum in Kigali as informative and a guide to promote effective service delivery to the state and nation at large.
Gov. Alia in a message on Saturday said “I am excited to be part of the ongoing Executive Leadership Retreat organised by the United Nations Development Programme in collaboration with the Nigeria Governors’ Forum in Kigali, Rwanda”.
This retreat provides a crucial opportunity for government officials, including myself and my fellow governors, to engage in meaningful discussions surrounding effective leadership strategies and solutions for intricate challenges.
During our time in Kigali, we paid our respects at the Kigali Memorial, a solemn act of remembrance for the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi. This experience serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of unity and reconciliation and the responsibility of leaders to prevent such atrocities from occurring in our world today.
I am grateful for the insights gained, the connections established, and the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of progressive leadership practices within Benue State and the nation at large.
Moving forward, I am committed to implementing the lessons learned during this retreat to drive transformative change and advance the prosperity of our state and nation.
